During a CNN appearance on Tuesday, Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI) asserted that “there’s a difference” between attacks carried out by Muslim extremists and attacks carried out by white supremacists or other attackers who aren’t Muslim.

While discussing President Trump’s list of 78 attacks his administration thinks haven’t been sufficiently covered — a list conspicuously devoid of attacks perpetrated by white supremacists, Islamophobes, or right-wing extremists — CNN Alisyn Camerota asked Duffy, “Why isn’t the president talking about the white terrorists who mowed down six Muslims praying at their mosque?”

“I don’t know, but I would just tell you there’s a difference,” Duffy replied. “You don’t have a group like ISIS or Al Qaeda that is inspiring [attacks] around the world. That was a one off, Alisyn.”

A burst of refugee claimants who illegally crossed the border from Minnesota into Manitoba caused emergency officials to convert a southeast Manitoba town's community center into a shelter.

RCMP said 22 people illegally crossed the border near Emerson over the weekend. Of the 22 people who crossed, 19 made the trek on Saturday, police said.

“These individuals did not enter Canada through a port of entry. The RCMP picked up the 19 people and transported them to a Canada Border Services Agency location, where they could make their refugee claims,” RCMP spokesperson Tara Seel said in an email to CTV News Monday.

President Trump signed an executive order yesterday that would ban all Syrian refugees and almost all refugees from all countries from entering the United States for six months, while cutting the overall annual limit for refugees in half and banning for at least 90 days all immigration from seven majority Muslim countries. It implies that this ban could continue indefinitely for certain countries. These policies will not improve national security and will undermine America’s efforts to combat Islamic extremism and terrorism around the world.

1) The order violates the law. Under the Immigration Act of 1965, the president may not refuse to give visas to immigrants coming to live in the United States permanently due to their nationality. The provision is unequivocal in stating that no person may “be discriminated against in th…

[The victims, largely made up of government opponents, are being buried in mass graves, an Amnesty International report claims. "If you put your ears on the floor, you could hear the sound of a kind of gurgling. This would last around ten minutes … We were sleeping on top of the sound of people choking to death. This was normal for me then." *RON*]
