[Corporatocracy vs Democracy in BC. Darn tootin'! Rafe Mair has still got it... "You are dead wrong, sir, letting hubris overcome common sense and you’re clearly spoiling for a fight. If that’s what you truly want, you shall have it." *RON*]

“They hang the man, and flog the woman,
That steals the goose from off the common;
But let the greater villain loose,
That steals the common from the goose.”

I’ll not waste too many words on Prime Minister Trudeau’s treachery.

Of all the many political sins, surely the greatest of all is hypocrisy and this prime minister has taken that sin to new levels. He basked in the glory of Paris and being portrayed as the hero of the earth but had scarcely got home when he cast aside the cloak of righteousness, reverting to being a cheap hustler for the fossil fuel industry, even outshining Stephen Harper.

[Welcome to the corporate police state. This pretty well says that you might as well be violent since peaceful protest will be utterly ignored by them. *RON*]

Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr says the federal government will call in reinforcements if Canadian pipeline protests get out of hand.

The federal government approved Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain pipeline expansion and Enbridge’s Line 3 replacement on Tuesday. Both projects have been hot button issues amid fears about their potential environmental impact.

Carr warned potential protesters on Thursday to keep any resistance to the projects non-violent.

Times of Israel Staff, 2 December 2016

Iran may have raked in around $100 million in profits from shares it holds in a German shipbuilding company that provides submarines to the Israel Navy, Haaretz reported Friday evening.

Israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth reported earlier Friday that a company owned by the Iranian government holds 4.5 percent of Germany’s ThyssenKrupp.

Prime Minister: You failed to do your job by approving pipelines

[About as to-the-point as you can get! *RON*]

Stewart Philip, Globe and Mail, 2 December 2016

Dear Prime Minister,
You completely failed to do your job when you arrogantly announced that you were acting in the national interest by approving the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain Expansion (TMX) and Enbridge Line 3 pipelines. Your main job as leader of Canada is to protect Canadians’ health and safety.

You failed to do your job when you approved two tar sands pipelines that will put rivers and coasts at risk and that will undeniably lead to much more of the devastating climate-change effects that we are already feeling and that will one day soon wipe out our cultures and all of life on earth.
